Three Day Workshops are for those who take their photography very seriously.

This is comprehensive and intensive training that requires commitment.

The Workshop includes: –

  • One early start to capture the sunrise – (includes a healthy breakfast) *
  • One late finish to capture the golden hour – (includes an evening meal) *
  • Lunch and refreshments on all three days
  • At least three location visits – transport included
  • Theory and practical assignments to develop new skills in at least three specialist subjects (see below)
  • Post production session to include photo enhancement, manipulation and back-up
  • Photo School handbook with course notes

The program for the three days will depend on the time of year and will be geared to the interests and experience of the students.

In addition to all the learning, the three days give you: –

  • ‘permission’ to indulge your interest,
  • time to compose images without being rushed
  • an opportunity to create memorable photographs
  • support and ‘on-hand’ advice to troubleshoot problems
  • good company in a relaxed and enjoyable group.

Frequently asked questions:

Who is this Workshop for? – A three day workshop is aimed at anyone who enjoys their photography and is prepared to commit time and money in themselves and their equipment. It assumes you are comfortable with exposure settings and camera controls and that you have a year or two’s experience. You don’t need to be an “expert”.

Do you provide accommodation?  – Sadly not, but if you live more than an hour away and need to stay overnight, there are some excellent Bed & Breakfast providers within a mile or two of Sunshine Barn. We can provide details on request.

What equipment do I need to bring?  – You will need to bring a DSLR as an absolute minimum. The brand, model and cost is not important but we recommend bringing your instruction manual – just in case. You’ll also need to bring a tripod, if you don’t have one, let us know and we can provide one for you. If you have any additional lenses, bring them with you to give more shooting options. Finally you’ll need to bring your laptop so that you can download images and learn more about image management, enhancement and manipulation.

I am a complete beginner, is this workshop right for me? – We’d recommend that if you’re just getting started, you come on one of our One Day Workshops aimed at beginners, this will give you all the basics you need to feel confident.

Are there any discounts for booking two places? Absolutely! – We encourage partners/friends/colleagues to book together and offer 20% discount off  the price of the second person’s Workshop. Contact us for the promo code before booking.

How much walking is involved, i.e. how fit do I have to be? This is a photography workshop, not a survival course for the Special Forces, provided you are able to carry your camera for a mile or two (at the very most) all at a gentle pace with lots of stops, you’ll be fine.

Workshops are based here at Sunshine Barn

and run throughout the year (Monday to Saturday)
