taking control of your creativity
Our most popular course and perfect for anyone who's been using their DSLR for a few months and wants to start being more creative with it. The day includes theory sessions in the classroom and practical exercises as well as getting out and about in the local area putting the lessons into practice. You'll learn how to: Identify subjects and where to shoot them from Select suitable foregrounds,mid-grounds and backgrounds Evaluate lighting conditions, strength, direction and temperature Compose visually appealing pictures using established 'rules' Set aperture to get the depth of field you want Set shutter speed to freeze action or blur motion Set your focal point to tell the story Set exposure compensation to allow for shadows and highlights Use filters to add interest or extend exposure options By the end of the day you will feel enlightened and fired up with enthusiasm to get out and take more pictures. All students will have access to comprehensive workshop notes. Intermediate Workshops are held on weekdays and some Saturdays, each one starts at 10.00am and finishes around 4.30pm. The Workshop cost is £180 per person. If you have a promo code, enter it at the checkout.
